Hudson Valley Mall
Hudson Valley Mall is an enclosed shopping mall located in Ulster, New York, north of Kingston, United States. It is the lone mall in Ulster County and is the only enclosed mall located between Poughkeepsie and Albany. Hull Property Group currently owns and operates Hudson Valley Mall. The mall opened in 1981 and has an area of on one level with 19 shops and restaurants as well as a 12-screen Neighborhood Cinema Group theater. As of 2023, the mall maintains a Dick's Sporting Goods, and Target, as well as a handful of specialty stores. Adjacent to the mall is Hudson Valley Plaza, a two-tiered complex on a west-facing hill, consisting mainly of a Walmart, PetSmart and a few other shops. Ulster, New York
Ulster is a town in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 12,660 at the 2020 census. The town of Ulster is in the northeastern part of the county. The town is directly north of the city of Kingston. Ulster is partially situated inside Catskill Park. The New York State Thruway ( Interstate 87) and U.S. Route 9W pass through the western part of the town. U.S. Route 209 crosses the Hudson River from the eastern side of the town. History The town of Ulster, newest of the twenty towns in the county, was created by the Ulster County Board of Supervisors on 28 November 1879 with land taken from the town of Kingston. Columbine High School Massacre
On April 20, 1999, a school shooting and attempted bombing occurred at Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado, United States. The perpetrators, 12th grade students Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, murdered 12 students and one teacher. 10 students were killed in the school library, where Harris and Klebold subsequently committed suicide. 21 additional people were injured by gunshots, and gunfire was also exchanged with the police. Another three people were injured trying to escape. At the time, it was the deadliest high school shooting in U.S. history. Glasco is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 2,013 at the 2020 census. Glasco is a community in the Town of Saugerties east of U.S. Route 9W. The community is north of Kingston. Geography Glasco is located at (42.047539, -73.952860). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of , of which, of it is land and of it (29.92%) is water. Glasco is on the west bank of the Hudson River.
