Hubert Howatt
William Hubert Howatt (September 7, 1867 – January 9, 1919) was a farmer and political figure on Prince Edward Island. He represented 5th Prince in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 1915 to 1919 as a Liberal. Born in New Village, Prince Edward Island and educated in Summerside, he was the son of Nelson Howatt and Catherine Platts and the grandson of Cornelius Howatt Cornelius Howatt (February 4, 1810 – May 7, 1895) was a farmer and political figure in Prince Edward Island. The Prince Edward Island Liberal Party (officially the ''Prince Edward Island Liberal Association'') is a political party in the province of Prince Edward Island, Canada. The PEI Liberals are affiliated with the federal Liberal Party of Canada. History The party was created when PEI was a British colony by reformers who agitated for the system of responsible government. This was granted by the British crown to the colony in 1851. George Coles was its dominant figure in its first decades. While initially supportive of Canadian Confederation, Coles and the Liberals soured on the project, and it was not until 1873 that the island joined Canada as a means of relieving the PEI government's severe debts. Summerside is a Canadian city in Prince County, Prince Edward Island. It is the second largest city in the province and the primary service centre for the western part of the island. Cornelius Howatt
Cornelius Howatt (February 4, 1810 – May 7, 1895) was a farmer and political figure in Prince Edward Island. He represented 4th Prince in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 1859 to 1876 as a Conservative member. He was born in Tryon, Prince Edward Island, the son of James Howatt. He married Jane Bell around 1840. Howatt was speaker for the provincial assembly from 1874 to 1876. With Augustus Holland, he supported a motion opposing union with Canada in 1873 even though, by that time, union was considered by most as inevitable. He died at North St. Eleanors in 1895. Silver Fox (animal)
The silver fox is a melanistic form of the red fox (''Vulpes vulpes''). Silver foxes display a great deal of pelt variation. Some are completely glossy black except for a white colouration on the tip of the tail, giving them a somewhat silvery appearance. Some silver foxes are bluish-grey, and some may have a cinereous colour on the sides. Historically, silver foxes were among the most valued fur-bearers, and their pelts were frequently worn by nobles in Russia, Western Europe, and China. Wild silver foxes do not naturally reproduce exclusively with members of the same coat morph and can be littermates with the common red variety, although captive populations bred for their fur and as pets are almost exclusively mated with members of the same colour.
