Hubbard High School (Illinois)
Hubbard High School is a public four-year high school located in the West Lawn neighborhood on the southwest side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. Hubbard is part of the Chicago Public Schools district. The school is named for American fur trader and insurance underwriter Gurdon Saltonstall Hubbard. As of 2017, Hubbard had an 82.9% five–year graduation rate. In 2017, the student population was 91% Hispanic and 96% "low income". Academics Improvement Hubbard was one of 16 schools nationwide selected by the College Board for inclusion in the EXCELerator School Improvement Model program beginning in the 2007–08 school year. The project was funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. IB Diploma Programme Hubbard is an IB Diploma Programme high school. This comprehensive and challenging pre-university program for academically advanced and highly motivated students in grades 11 and 12 was implemented at Hubbard in 1998. Sean Cattouse (born October 4, 1988) is a former American football free safety. He played college football at the University of California, Berkeley and attended Hubbard High School in Chicago, Illinois. He was also a member of the San Diego Chargers and Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). Professional career Cattouse was signed by the NFL's San Diego Chargers on April 30, 2012, after going undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft. John Catanzara
John Catanzara is an American police union leader, and former member of the Chicago Police Department. Since May 2020, Catanzara has been president of Lodge 7 of the Fraternal Order of Police. He joined the Chicago Police Department in 1995 and was placed on administrative leave after filing a report against former Police Superintendent Eddie T. Johnson. Catanzara resigned from the CPD in November 2021, as his firing from the CPD appeared imminent, and announced his intention to run for mayor of Chicago. Music of the Baroque is an American professional chorus and orchestra based in Chicago, Illinois. Most members of the orchestra also perform with other groups, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Lyric Opera of Chicago. Peer Health Exchange
Peer Health Exchange is a 501(c)(3) health education organization based in Oakland, California. The organization trains college student volunteers to teach skills-based health education in public high schools in low-income communities that lack comprehensive health education. The vision of Peer Health Exchange is that, one day, all teens will have the knowledge and skills to make healthy decisions, advancing health equity for teens in under-resourced communities.
