Huang Ying (born January 28, 1989, in Dazhou, Sichuan) is a Chinese pop singer. She rose to prominence after her fourth-place performance in the 2009 season of the '' Super Girl'' contest, a national all-female singing competition in the People's Republic of China. Career After getting the fourth place in the Super Girl's contest, Huang Ying, started her solo music career. Dazhou () is a prefecture-level city in the northeast corner of Sichuan province, China, bordering Shaanxi to the north and Chongqing to the east and south. Mandopop
Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Standard Chinese, Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; with later influences coming from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the School campus song, Campus Song folk movement of the 1970s.
