Huancané Province (from Aymara Wanqani , meaning "the one with big stones") is a province of the Puno Region in Peru. The capital of the province is the city of Huancané. The provinces of Peru () are the second-level administrative subdivisions of the country. They are divided into Districts of Peru, districts ( es, distritos, links=no). Quechua People
Quechua people (, ; ) or Quichua people, may refer to any of the aboriginal people of South America who speak the Quechua languages, which originated among the Indigenous people of Peru.
