"How to Tame Lions" is a song by Australian musician Megan Washington, Washington, released in October as the second and final single from the EP How to Tame Lions, of the same name. It is also inlaced on her debut studio album, ''I Believe You Liar'' (2010). Sales toward the song counted toward the EP, which peaked at number 73 on the ARIA charts. In December 2009, the song won first place in the inaugural Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition. Megan Alexanda Washington (born 7 January 1986) is an Australian musician and songwriter who has worked mononymously as Washington. Originally performing jazz music, her style shifted to indie pop and alternative rock. She has released three studio albums, '' I Believe You Liar'' (July 2010), ''There There'' (September 2014) and ''Batflowers'' (August 2020). Both ''I Believe You Liar'' and ''There There'' reached the top 5 on the ARIA Albums Chart and ''Batflowers'' peaked in the top 25. ''I Believe You Liar'' is the debut studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Washington. It was released on Mercury Records in Australia on 30 July 2010. The album peaked at number 3 on the ARIA Charts charts. At the J Awards of 2010, the album was nominated for Australian Album of the Year. Background ''I Believe You Liar'' is largely composed of tracks from Washington's previous three EP releases, ''Clementine'' (2008), '' How to Tame Lions'' (2009), and ''Rich Kids'' (2010). The ARIA Music Award for Single of the Year/Song of the Year, is an award presented at the annual ARIA Music Awards, which recognises "the many achievements of Aussie artists across all music genres", since 1987.
