Hovden, Sogn Og Fjordane
Hovden or Barekstadlandet is an island in the municipality of Kinn in Vestland county, Norway. The island lies about northwest of the town of Florø and about south of the village of Kalvåg on the island of Frøya, Bremanger, Frøya in neighboring Bremanger municipality, across the Frøysjøen strait. Most of the 68 inhabitants (in 2001) live along the eastern coast of the island. Kvanhovden Lighthouse is located on the northwestern shore of the island. The island is very rocky, mountainous, and barren. The highest point on the island is the tall mountain ''Store Skorekinna''. Vestland is a county in Norway established on 1 January 2020. The county is located in Western Norway and it is centred around the city of Bergen, Norway's second largest city. The administrative centre of the county is the city of Bergen, where the executive and political leadership is based, but the County Governor is based in Hermansverk. Florø
is a town and the administrative centre of the municipality of Kinn, Vestland, Norway. The town was founded by royal decree in 1860 as a ladested on the island of Florelandet, located between the Botnafjorden and Solheimsfjorden. Florø is Norway's (and thus the Scandinavian Peninsula's) westernmost town. It is the most western town on the mainland in the Nordic countries. Kalvåg
Kalvåg is a village in Bremanger Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the southeast side of the island of Frøya on the coast along the Frøysjøen strait, the southern entrance to the Nordfjorden. The village of Kalvåg was the administrative centre of the old municipality of Bremanger that existed from 1838 until 1964 when the municipality was enlarged and the administration center was moved east to the mainland village of Svelgen. There is a series of bridges that connect Kalvåg to the nearby island of Bremangerlandet. The village has a population (2018) of 450 and a population density of . Frøya is an island in the western part of Bremanger Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The island is located just to the southwest of the big island of Bremangerlandet and its highest point is Fanneskarvarden at an elevation of . Almost all the residents of the island live on the southeastern shore. The island contains the main village of Kalvåg as well as the minor settlements of Liset, Steinset, Nesje, Stranda, and Frøyalandet. Frøya is located on the northern side of the Frøysjøen strait, which is part of the seaway between the towns of Florø and Måløy. Frøysjøen
Frøysjøen is a fjord (or more accurately, a strait) in Bremanger Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The fjord is about long and between wide. The fjord runs on a northeast–southwest axis between the mainland of Norway (on the east) and the islands of Bremangerlandet and Frøya (on the west). The Gulen fjord branches off the Frøysjøen to the east. The main settlements along the fjord include Kalvåg and Berle on the western shore. Kvanhovden Lighthouse
Kvanhovden Lighthouse ( no, Kvanhovden fyr) is a coastal lighthouse located in the municipality of Kinn in Vestland county, Norway. The lighthouse sits on the northwestern shore of the island of Hovden, at the southern entrance to the Frøysjøen strait. History It was first built in 1895 and it was automated in 1980. The red tall wood tower is attached to the seaward end of a -story wood lighthouse keeper's house. The light sits at an elevation of about above sea level.
