There are numerous creeks and branches in Houston which include: Indian Creek, Rayburn Creek, Davis Branch, and many more small streams. This area consists of timberland, hills, and pastureland. There are no major highways in this community. The only roads consists of county roads. History At one time Houston was the size of a small town with stores, a post office, and a school. Waynesboro is a city in and the county seat of Wayne County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 2,449 at the 2010 census, up from 2,228 in 2000. History Waynesboro was founded in 1821 as a county seat for the newly created Wayne County. The city initially consisted of a plot that included the courthouse and jail. Collinwood is a city in Wayne County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 982 at the 2010 census, down from 1,024 in 2000. History Collinwood was established in 1913 as a stop on the Tennessee Western Railroad, a rail line constructed to serve the area iron industry. The city was named for W.W. Collins, president of the Collinwood Land Company, which platted the city.
