Adrian David Houser (born February 2, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2015. Career Houston Astros The Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB) selected Houser in the second round, 69th overall, of the 2011 MLB Draft. Dylan Bundy and Archie Bradley, with whom Houser had played baseball before high school, had been selected earlier in the draft. Although he had previously committed to playing college baseball for the Oklahoma Sooners, Houser signed a contract with Houston three days after he was drafted and was subsequently assigned to the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League (GCL) Astros. After six GCL games in which he went 1–2 with a 4.03 ERA and 25 strikeouts, the Astros organization promoted Houser to the Greeneville Astros of the Appalachian League, their other Rookie ball team. Walter Houser Brattain (; February 10, 1902 – October 13, 1987) was an American physicist at Bell Labs who, along with fellow scientists John Bardeen and William Shockley, invented the point-contact transistor in December 1947. Thane Houser (27 July 1891 Honey Creek, Indiana –23 November 1967 Columbus, Indiana) was an American racecar driver. He was the father of fellow driver Norm Houser. Primarily a car builder and mechanic as well as a riding mechanic, Houser served as a relief driver in the 1923 Indianapolis 500 and 1924 Indianapolis 500 races for Wade Morton and Joe Boyer, respectively. Biography He was born in Rapid City, South Dakota where his father, Ivan Houser, was assistant sculptor to Gutzon Borglum in the early years of carving Mount Rushmore; he began working with Borglum shortly after the inception of the monument and was with Borglum for a total of seven years. When Houser left Gutzon to devote his talents to his own work, Gutzon's son, Lincoln, took over as Assistant- sculptor to his father.
