House Of Secrets (album)
''House of Secrets'' is the second studio album by the American heavy metal band Otep, produced by Greg Wells (Deftones, Rufus Wainwright, Mika), and released in 2004. The album entered the ''Billboard'' 200 at number 93. The video for the song "Warhead" made the top ten videos of 2004 on MTV's ''Headbangers Ball''. This album has been released with the Copy Control protection system in some regions. Music and lyrics The album features elements of several musical genres including spoken word, hip hop, doom metal and speed metal. The album is noted for having lyrical topics about insecurity and self-loathing. However, the song "Warhead" has extremely political lyrics. Critical reception ''Billboard'' called the album "terrifying" and that it brimmed "with sounds that can warp the psyche." Slipknot (band)
Slipknot is an American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison and bassist Paul Gray. After several lineup changes in its early years, the band settled on nine members for more than a decade: Crahan, Jordison, Gray, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, and Jim Root. Gray died on May 24, 2010, and was replaced during 2011–2014 by guitarist Donnie Steele. Jordison was dismissed from the band on December 12, 2013. Steele left during the recording sessions for '' .5: The Gray Chapter''. The band found replacements in Alessandro Venturella on bass and Jay Weinberg on drums. After the departure of Jordison, the only founding member in the current lineup is percussionist Crahan. Joey Jordison
Nathan Jonas "Joey" Jordison (April 26, 1975 – July 26, 2021) was an American musician. He was the original drummer and co-founder of the heavy metal band Slipknot, in which he was designated #1, as well as the guitarist for the horror punk supergroup Murderdolls. Jordison grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, with his parents and two sisters, and was given his first drum kit at the age of 8. He performed with many bands early in his career; then in 1995, he joined the group the Pale Ones, which would later change their name and become Slipknot. Jordison played in Slipknot since its inception, helping form the band until his departure in December of 2013. Of Slipknot's nine-member lineup, which lasted from 1999–2010, Joey was the third to join the band. He was the drummer and founder of Scar the Martyr, which formed in 2013 and disbanded in 2016. Rob Patterson
Rob Patterson (born November 9, 1970) is an American guitarist and composer. Background Patterson was born in Natick, Massachusetts. His first major band was the metal, female-fronted Otep. He wrote and played on the albums, ''Sevas Tra'', '' House of Secrets'' and ''Smash the Control Machine''. He was a touring guitarist for Korn from July 2005–March 2008, after the departure of Brian "Head" Welch. In April 2008, Patterson became engaged to Carmen Electra, but they never wed and split in 2012. He is also one of the characters in the book ''Sex Tips from Rock Stars'' by Paul Miles that was published by Omnibus Press in July 2010. Patterson made a cameo appearance as a police officer in the 2015 slasher short film ''Massacre'', written by New Zealand Suicide Girl Pandie Suicide (also known as Pandie James) and directed by Erik Boccio.
