Houda Ben Daya ( ar, هدى بن داية; born July 21, 1979, in Tunis) is a Tunisian judoka, who competed in the women's half-heavyweight category. She picked up a total of five medals, including three golds from the African Championships and a bronze from the 2001 Mediterranean Games in her native Tunis, and represented her nation Tunisia in the 78-kg class at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Houda Benyamina (born 1980) is a French director and screenwriter. She won the Cannes Film Festival Camera d'Or and César Award for Best First Feature Film for her 2016 film ''Divines''. Houda Darwish ( ar, هدى درويش) is an Algerian novelist, poet, writer, and women's rights activist. According to Abdel Madjid Djaber, a Palestinian critic and academician, she is a "charming lady of Algerian literature.". Personal life Born in West Algeria on November 26, 1991, Houda Darwish lived with two parents working as teachers, the father an Arabic teacher, the mother a French teacher. Because of her family situation, she was opened up to a wide variety of cultures and a mix between the Arabic and French literature. Houda-Imane Faraoun, also spelled Feraoun, is an Algerian physicist and materials scientist who was appointed Minister of Post, Information Technology & Communication in the government of Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal on 1 May 2015. She is also a professor of Physics at the University of Tlemcen, a post she has held in various capacities since 2006. She holds a PhD in physics from the University of Sidi Bel Abbès and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology of Belfort-Montbéliard.
