Hospodi
''Hospodi'' is a studio album by one of the two versions of the Polish black metal band Batushka, which is led by vocalist Bartek Krysiuk, released on July 12, 2019 through Metal Blade Records. It was released under the leadership of Krysiuk with members from the original line-up. The album was released against the will of Batushka's founding member Krzysztof Drabikowski and started an ongoing legal dispute between the two. 'Hospodi' is a concept album based on the Orthodox Liturgy of Death. Many people compare this album to the band's debut due to the difference in sound and writing, and due to the infamous fallout of the original group. In contrast to Batushka's first album priot to the split 'Litourgiya', 'Hospodi' has more atmospheric emphasis, and each song flows seamlessly into the next, creating a start-to-finish listening experience. Batushka
Batushka (stylized in Cyrillic as БАТЮШКА) is a Polish black metal band formed by Krzysztof Drabikowski. Their music and lyrics, which are written exclusively in Church Slavonic language, are inspired by the Eastern Orthodox Church. The band members wear habits and Eastern Orthodox schemas during live performances to conceal their identities. In contrast with many other black metal bands, they use eight-string guitars. A falling out between Drabikowski and vocalist Bartłomiej Krysiuk in 2018 led to Krysiuk starting his own version of Batushka, which released its own recordings and performs separately from the original band. Drabikowski protested the move and does not consider Krysiuk's band legitimate. Paweł Jaroszewicz (born 20 September 1985 in Świdnik), is a Polish heavy metal drummer. Jaroszewicz has played with such bands as Interior, Rootwater, Sinful, Vader, Hazael, Thy Disease, Crionics, Deivos, Nerve, Obscure Sphinx, Christ Agony, No Emotions, Hell-Born, Lost Soul, FS Projekt, Decapitated, and Hate. He now plays in Bartłomiej Krysiuk's version of Batushka, Soul Snatcher, and Antigama and is also the current live drummer for Nargaroth and Belphegor. He is endorsed by Czarcie Kopyto Pedals, Meinl Cymbals, Tama Drums, Lime Ears in Ear Systems, Balbex Drumsticks, Red Case Drum Cases and Hesu Cables. MetalSucks is a heavy metal music-themed news website. The site features reviews, interviews, information on latest metal releases and blog-like posts from the writers, most notably Vince Neilstein and Axl Rosenberg. History The site was founded in December 2006 by authors Ben Umanov and Matthew Goldenberg who use the pen names Vince Neilstein and Axl Rosenberg. In April 2009, MetalSucks was awarded Metal Hammer's Web of Death Award for "Best Reviews" for its "honest, insightful, unpretentious – and fun – reviews."
