Hosa Theerpu
''Hosa Theerpu'' () is a 1983 Indian Kannada-language directed by Shankar Nag, and is a remake of the Hindi-language film '' Dushmun'' (1972), written by Virendra Sinha. It stars Ambareesh as Raja, a reckless truck driver who runs over a farmer, and is sentenced to two years of supporting the deceased's family as punishment for his crime. Jayanthi, Jayamala, Musuri Krishnamurthy, Dheerendra Gopal and Sadashiva Brahmavar feature in supporting roles. Plot Raja is a rash truck driver often driving in an inebriated state. After spending a night in a brothel, he rushes for work early next morning, and ends up running over a farmer Ramu while driving at breakneck-speed through thick fog. He turns himself in, and is brought before the court. Shankar Nag
Shankar Nagarakatte (9 November 1954 – 30 September 1990) was an Indian actor, screenwriter, director, and producer known for his work in Kannada-language films and television. A popular cultural icon of Karnataka, Nag is often referred to as ''Karate King.'' He directed and acted in the teleserial, '' Malgudi Days'', based on novelist R. K. Narayan's short stories. Chethan Ramarao (1937–2016) was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films. Life Ramarao was born in 1937 at Sindhaghatta in KR Pete taluk in Mandya district of Karnataka. Manjula (8 November 1954 – 12 September 1986) was an Indian actress who acted in Kannada language films and also few Tamil (credited as ''Kumari Manjula'') and Telugu films. Dr Anant Nagarkatte (born 4 September 1948) is an Indian actor whose predominant contribution has been in Kannada cinema. He has acted in over 300 films which include over 200 Kannada films as well as Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam and English films.
