Horst Müller
Horst Müller was an East German luger who competed during the mid-1970s. He won three medals at the FIL World Luge Championships with two silvers (singles: 1977, doubles: 1975) and a bronze (singles: 1974). A luge is a small one- or two-person sled on which one sleds supine (face up) and feet-first. A luger steers by using the calf muscles to flex the sled's runners or by exerting opposite shoulder pressure to the seat. Racing sleds weigh for singles and for doubles. Luge is also the name of an Olympic sport. Lugers can reach speeds of 140 km/h (87 mph).
