Horst Bertl
Horst Bertl (24 March 1947 – 6 February 2022) was a German footballer who played as a midfielder. Playing career In 1969, Bertl began his career with TuS Bremerhaven 93 before transferring to Bundesliga club Hannover 96 in 1970. Earning the nickname "Big Turtle", he went on to play two seasons with Hannover and moved to Borussia Dortmund where he also spent two seasons. In 1974, Bertl signed with Hamburger SV. He played five seasons with Hamburg before moving to the United States and signing with the Houston Hurricane of the North American Soccer League in 1979. The Hurricane folded after the 1980 season and Bertl spent two seasons with the Memphis Americans of the Major Indoor Soccer League. Managerial career In 1981, the Memphis Americans of MISL signed Bertl as head coach. He compiled a 39–53 record over two seasons as a player-coach. Bremerhaven (, , Low German: ''Bremerhoben'') is a city at the seaport of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, a state of the Federal Republic of Germany. Eric Eichmann
Eric Eichmann (born May 7, 1965) is an American former soccer player. He played professionally in Germany and the United States and later served as an assistant coach with the Miami Fusion of Major League Soccer. He also earned 29 caps and scored four goals, for the United States national soccer team. College Born in Margate, Florida, Eichmann grew up in Florida where St. Thomas Aquinas High School and played for the Key Biscayne Gunners youth club. Eichmann played college soccer Clemson University of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). His freshman year, he earned All-ACC honors. In 1984, the team won the NCAA national championship. His most successful individual year came as a junior when he set a school record of nineteen assists while helping his team to the ACC championship. The DFB-Pokal ( is a German knockout football cup competition held annually by the German Football Association (DFB). Sixty-four teams participate in the competition, including all clubs from the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga. It is considered the second-most important club title in German football after the Bundesliga championship. Taking place from August until May, the winner qualifies for the DFL-Supercup and the UEFA Europa League unless the winner already qualifies for the UEFA Champions League in the Bundesliga. The competition was founded in 1935, then called the '' Tschammer-Pokal''. The first titleholders were 1. FC Nürnberg. In 1937, Schalke 04 were the first team to win the double.
