"Horse to the Water" is a song written by George Harrison and his son Dhani. It was originally performed by Jools Holland's Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, featuring Harrison, on the album ''Small World, Big Band'' Recorded on 2 October 2001, the song is Harrison's last performance on a record. Harrison only performed vocals on the track, as he was too weak from battling cancer to play guitar, and he died just over eight weeks later on 29 November. He listed the song's publisher as " R.I.P. Music Ltd" instead of his usual music company Harrisongs. (In the liner notes of some versions of the CD, the credit is "Umlaut Corporation.") George Harrison
George Harrison (25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001) was an English musician and singer-songwriter who achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. Dhani Harrison (; born 1 August 1978) is an English musician, composer and singer-songwriter. He is the only child of George and Olivia Harrison. Dhani debuted as a professional musician assisting in recording his father's final album, '' Brainwashed'', and completing it with the assistance of Jeff Lynne after his father's death in November 2001. Harrison formed his own band, thenewno2, in 2002 and has performed at festivals, including Coachella, where Spin magazine dubbed their performance as one of the "best debut performances of the festival." The Concert for George was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 29 November 2002 as a memorial to George Harrison on the first anniversary of his death.
