Horse Creek is a stream in Solano County, California which discharges into Ulatis Creek. Floodplain The U.S. government has designated a portion of Horse Creek within the 100-year floodplain. In particular, within unincorporated Solano County approximately downstream and upstream of Willow Avenue are a designated 100-year floodplain. For incorporated Vacaville areas, along Horse Creek approximately downstream of Leisure Town Road and approximately upstream of the sewer maintenance area are designated within the 100-year floodplain. For the Middle Branch Horse Creek, 100-year flood designations were made immediately upstream of Interstate 80 and approximately upstream of Interstate 505. Solano County () is a county located in the U.S. state of California. As of the 2020 census, the population was 453,491. The county seat is Fairfield. Vacaville
Vacaville is a city located in Solano County in Northern California. Sitting approximately from Sacramento and from San Francisco, it is within the Sacramento Valley. As of the 2020 census, Vacaville had a population of 102,386, making it the third largest city in Solano County. History Prior to European contact, the indigenous Patwin tribe lived in the area with the Ululato tribelet establishing a chiefdom around the Ululato village in what is now downtown Vacaville along the Ulatis Creek. Interstate 505
Interstate 505 (I-505) is a north–south auxiliary Interstate Highway in the Sacramento Valley in Northern California. It is a spur auxiliary route of I-5 that runs from near Dunnigan south to I-80 in Vacaville. I-505 is primarily a rural Interstate, but travels through Vacaville and the city of Winters. The highway is the primary route connecting the San Francisco Bay Area and the northern Sacramento Valley, bypassing Sacramento and its attendant city traffic.
