Horrid Henry (book)
Horrid Henry is the first book of the ''Horrid Henry'' series. It was published in 1994 and written by Francesca Simon and illustrated by Tony Ross. The book is a collection of short stories about the same characters, along the lines of the Just William books. Plot Horrid Henry's Perfect Day Horrid Henry is a young boy who loves doing unimaginable horrible things. He throws food, he snatches things, he pushes, shoves and pinches. He has a younger brother called Perfect Peter, an extremely perfect boy who does uncountable good deeds. Peter always says "Please" and "Thank You", he loves vegetables and refuses cake and he never ever picks his nose. One day, Horrid Henry wonders what would happen if he were perfect?! Francesca Simon
Francesca Isabella Simon (born 23 February, 1955) is an American-born British author who resides in North London. She is most famous for writing the ''Horrid Henry'' series of Children's literature, children's books. She is the daughter of screenwriter and playwright Mayo Simon (not to be confused with Simon Mayo, a British radio DJ). Biography Simon was born in St Louis, St. Louis, Missouri, U.S. She grew up in California and studied at Yale University, Yale and Jesus College, Oxford, Jesus College, Oxford University, Oxford, where she majored in medieval studies and Old English. Simon worked as a journalist, writing for the ''The Sunday Times, Sunday Times'', The Guardian, ''Guardian'', ''Mail on Sunday'', ''The Daily Telegraph'' and ''Vogue (magazine), Vogue'' (US). Tent Peg
A tent peg (or tent stake) is a spike, usually with a hook or hole on the top end, typically made from wood, metal, plastic, or composite material, pushed or driven into the ground for holding a tent to the ground, either directly by attaching to the tent's material, or by connecting to ropes attached to the tent.
