Michael Monroe
Matti Antero Kristian Fagerholm (born 17 June 1962), better known by his stage name Michael Monroe, is a Finnish rock musician who rose to fame as the vocalist for the glam punk band Hanoi Rocks, and has served as the frontman for all-star side projects, such as Demolition 23 and Jerusalem Slim (with Steve Stevens). Early life Michael Monroe was born Matti "Makke" Fagerholm on 17 June 1962. His father, Pentti Fagerholm (1935–2015), was a very well known Finnish radio personality and reporter. Monroe states in the Hanoi Rocks autobiography ''All Those Wasted Years'' that one of the first times he was exposed to rock n' roll was when he saw Black Sabbath's 1970 Paris performance on television. Some other favourite bands of Monroe's at the time included: Alice Cooper, The New York Dolls, Led Zeppelin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Little Richard. Spinefarm Records is a Finnish independent record label focusing mainly on heavy metal artists. It is a subsidiary of Universal Music Group. ''Sensory Overdrive'' is the sixth studio album by the Finnish glam rock singer Michael Monroe, released on 14 March 2011 through Spinefarm Records. It is Monroe's first studio album with his new backing band formed in early 2010, as well as his first studio solo album since the second break-up of his band Hanoi Rocks in 2009. The album was produced by famed record producer Jack Douglas, who has previously worked with Aerosmith, John Lennon, Miles Davis and more. In the UK Rock Chart, the album reached #13. Dregen (born Andreas Tyrone Svensson; 12 June 1973) is a Swedish musician best known as the guitarist of The Hellacopters, as well as Backyard Babies. As of March 2014, Dregen has also served as the newest member of Michael Monroe's solo band, replacing Ginger as guitarist. He was formerly married to fellow Swedish singer Pernilla Andersson, who is also the mother of their first child, a son named Sixten. The couple officially announced their separation on 1 June 2015. He is a founding member of Backyard Babies, who he helped form in 1987. The band announced the start of an indefinite hiatus beginning in 2010. Sami Yaffa (born Sami Lauri Takamäki; 4 September 1963) is a Finnish bass guitarist best known for his work in New York Dolls, Michael Monroe's bands, and Hanoi Rocks. He is currently the bassist for the Michael Monroe band and The Compulsions. He also plays guitar in his own band Mad Juana. He went along with another member of the Bablers (Pepe Seivo) and formed a punk rock band, Suopo, in 1979. Karl Rosqvist, also known as Karl Rockfist is a Swedish drummer.He played in the Swedish metal band Sorg in the early to mid 1990s. In 2001 he joined the California-based band Steel Prophet who are considered pioneers in the American power metal scene. He recorded two studio albums with Steel Prophet.
