The Horizon League is a high school athletic league that is part of the CIF Southern Section. CIF Southern Section
The California Interscholastic Federation-Southern Section (CIF-SS) is the governing body for high school athletics in most of Southern California and is the largest of the ten sections that comprise the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). Its membership includes most public and private high schools in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and central and southern Santa Barbara counties. At the start of the 2018/9 season, 13 schools from San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County left the Southern Section to join the much smaller CIF Central Section. Teams from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and surrounding areas have competed in the CIF Los Angeles City Section since 1935. CIFSS's offices are located in Los Alamitos. Alverno Heights Academy
Alverno Heights Academy, formerly Alverno High School, is an independent, Catholic, College-prep high school for girls located in Sierra Madre, California, near Pasadena. The school is on the former Villa del Sol d’Oro estate. Due to Alverno High's unique architecture and grounds the school has been used in many TV shows and movies, also weddings. On February 21, 2023, Alverno's trustees announced that its high school ("Upper School") will close on June 2, 2023. The K-8 "Lower School" will remain open. Bishop Conaty-Our Lady of Loretto High School is a Catholic, archdiocesan, all-female high school located in the Harvard Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. History John Joseph Cantwell founded Los Angeles Catholic Girls’ High School in 1923.
