Horace E. Stockbridge
Horace E. Stockbridge (May 19, 1857–October 30, 1930) was an American agricultural chemist who became the first president of North Dakota Agricultural College (now North Dakota State University). Early life and education Stockbridge was born in Hadley, Massachusetts Hadley (, ) is a town in Hampshire County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 5,325 at the 2020 census. North Dakota State University (NDSU, formally North Dakota State University of Agriculture and Applied Sciences) is a public land-grant research university in Fargo, North Dakota. It was founded as North Dakota Agricultural College in 1890 as the state's land-grant university.
