Horace Cope
Horace Cope (24 May 1899 – 4 October 1961) was an English footballer who played at left back. Cope spent six years at Arsenal after joining from Notts County for £3,125 in December 1926. He was a regular in his first two-and-a-half seasons at the club. In total, he made 76 starts at Arsenal, but missed the club's 1927 FA Cup Final defeat to Cardiff through injury after playing most of the season. He joined Bristol Rovers for £1,500 in July 1933. Treeton
Treeton is a village and civil parish of the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham in South Yorkshire, England. It is located about south of the town of Rotherham and east of Sheffield City Centre. History There is evidence of Mesolithic and Neolithic settlement in this area. In 1954 a Neolithic polished stone axe was found at Gregory Hill Field, and in 1957 Mesolithic flint cores were found in Treeton Wood. There was a Roman fort at Templeborough, about north west of Treeton, and remnants of the Roman road called Icknield Street (sometimes Ryknild or Riknild Street) have been found in nearby Brinsworth. The name ''Treeton'' is Old English in origin and may mean 'tree farmstead' or 'farmstead built with posts'. The earliest known written record of Treeton is the ''Domesday book'' of 1086, in which it is referred to as ''Trectone'' or ''Tretone''. The West Riding of Yorkshire is one of three historic subdivisions of Yorkshire, England. From 1889 to 1974 the administrative county County of York, West Riding (the area under the control of West Riding County Council), abbreviated County of York (WR), was based closely on the historic boundaries. Notts County Football Club is a professional association football club based in Nottingham, England.
