Hor Ratsadakorn Pipat
The Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles is located in the Grand Palace in Bangkok Thailand. The museum replaced the 1873 Ratsadakorn-bhibhathana Building (Thai: Hor Ratsadakorn Pipat) of the Royal Treasury Ministry by a request of Queen Sirikit in 2003. The building was the original organization of the current Crown Property Bureau. History King Chulalongkorn planned to set up a first centralize taxing system in Siam. Chulalongkorn established the Ratsadakorn-bhibhathana Building (Thai: Hor Ratsadakorn Pipat) on 4 June 1873 to operate more efficient, more discipline taxing process, later became a formation of the Customs Department. Calico Museum Of Textiles
The Calico Museum of Textiles is located in the city of Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat in western India. The museum is managed by the Sarabhai Foundation. History The museum was founded in 1949 by the enterprising siblings Gautam Sarabhai and Gira Sarabhai. Ahmedabad at that time had a flourishing textile industry. The museum was originally housed at the Calico Mills in the heart of the textile industry. But as the collection grew the museum was shifted to the Sarabhai House in Shahibaug in 1983. The House of Bunnag ( th, บุนนาค; ) was a powerful Siamese noble family of Mon-Persian descent influential during the late Ayutthaya kingdom and early Rattanakosin period. Originally of Persian Islamic descent, they converted en masse to Buddhism. The family was favored by Chakri monarchs and monopolized high-ranking titles. The Chakri dynasty ( th, ราชวงศ์ จักรี, , , ) is the current reigning dynasty of the Kingdom of Thailand, the head of the house is the king, who is head of state.
