Hope Christian School
Hope Christian School is a private, co-educational, non-denominational Christian school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. It has a 40+ year history and is the largest private school in New Mexico. Hope educates approximately 1300 students per year from Pre-K through 12th grade. Hope is known for its accelerated curricula, championship athletics, award-winning arts and biblical worldview approach to everything curricular and extracurricular. History Hope was founded in 1976 by Wayne Ehlert to provide a non-denominational Christian education to students in Albuquerque. Beginning as a high school, Hope expanded to include middle school grades in 1981 and grades 1–5 in 1982, eventually adding kindergarten and preschool as well. A Beka
Pensacola Christian College (PCC) is a private Independent Baptist college in Pensacola, Florida. Founded in 1974 by Arlin and Beka Horton, it has been accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools since 2013. History Arlin and Beka Horton graduated from Bob Jones University in 1951, and moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1952 to found a Christian grade school. That school, Pensacola Christian Grade School, opened in 1954; it was later renamed Pensacola Christian Academy. In 1974, the Hortons opened Pensacola Christian College to further their vision of "Education from a Christian Perspective." The college had 100 students its first year open, and was based in a single building, Ballard Hall. Pensacola Theological Seminary, an extension of PCC's graduate school, was founded in 1998. Robert Reynolds Jones Sr. (October 30, 1883 – January 16, 1968) was an American evangelist, pioneer religious broadcaster, and the founder and first president of Bob Jones University. Early years Bob Jones was the eleventh of twelve children born to William Alexander and Georgia Creel Jones. In 1883, when Bob was born, Alex Jones, a Confederate veteran, was working a small farm in Dale County, Alabama, but within months the family moved to Brannon Stand west of Dothan. A non-denominational person or organization is one that does not follow (or is not restricted to) any particular or specific religious denomination.
