"Hoover" is a song by Swedish rapper Yung Lean, released in 2016. A music video was originally released for the song in November 2015, and the song was released online digitally on January 20, 2016 in promotion for the upcoming Yung Lean album, ''Warlord''. Background In a 2020 interview with Kerwin Frost, Yung Lean said that the song came from him and Gud wanting to make a song that had a " Korn, Slipknot vibe" and that he wanted to sound "evil". ''Warlord'' is the second studio album by Swedish rapper Yung Lean. It was released on February 25, 2016, by YEAR0001. It was recorded from the spring to the fall of 2015, across Florida and Stockholm. A deluxe edition was released on April 28, 2016. Industrial hip hop is a fusion genre of industrial music and hip hop. History 1980s The origins of industrial hip hop are in the work of Mark Stewart, Bill Laswell, and Adrian Sherwood. Cloud Rap
Cloud rap is a subgenre of Southern rap and trap music that has several sonic characteristics of lo-fi in its hazy, dreamlike and relaxed sound. Many music experts credit rapper Lil B and producer Clams Casino as the early pioneers of this style. The term "cloud rap" is related to its internet birth and its ethereal style. Origins Cloud rap initially came out of Atlanta, Houston, and Memphis during the late 2000s. The term "cloud rap" is popularly used in reference to lo-fi, hazy rap. Carl-Mikael Göran "Micke" Berlander (born 29 August 1995), known professionally as Gud (formerly known as Yung Gud), is a Swedish DJ, music producer and rapper best known as a member of rapper Yung Lean's Stockholm-based group Sad Boys. He began producing at the age of twelve, making psychedelic trance music, which heavily influenced his sonic palette. His production as a part of Sad Boys has been well received. Outside of his role in Sad Boys, he has released an EP, named ''Beautiful, Wonderful'', and a collaborative album, ''Foreign Exchange'', with American rapper Rx Papi. Under his alternate persona/artist name, Rooster, he has released one EP, ''Rooster Debut''. Kerwin Frost (born July 26, 1995) is a Harlem-born entertainer, DJ, talk, show host, and comedian. He first rose to prominence in New York City's Soho Youth streetwear scene and as the founder of the Spaghetti Boys, a creative collective known for viral YouTube videos and streetwear collaborations. Slipknot is an American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison and bassist Paul Gray. After several lineup changes in its early years, the band settled on nine members for more than a decade: Crahan, Jordison, Gray, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, and Jim Root.
