Noriko Honma (本間文子 ''Honma Noriko'') (29 November 1911 – 12 April 2009) was a Japanese actress whose film work occurred primarily during the 1950s. She was born in Hokkaido. She worked in many of Akira Kurosawa's films, first appearing in Kurosawa's '' Stray Dog'', then in ''Rashomon'' as the Miko, also in ''Ikiru'', ''The Seven Samurai'', ''Akahige'', and ''Dreams''. Homma Museum Of Art
opened in Sakata, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan, in 1947. Setting The residence was built in 1813 by the fourth head of the , Junji Homma, who was a noted collector of Japanese swords and chairman of the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai. The Homma family was one of the great merchant houses of Sakata during the Edo Period, growing rich on the ''kitamaebune'' coastal trade and by moneylending. During the Meiji period, they were one of then largest landowners in the Tohoku region of Japan. The Seienkaku villa was built as a secondary residence and guest house. Visitors include members of the Sakai and Uesugi clans, former ''daimyō'' of the Shōnai and Yonezawa Domains, as well as in 1925 the future Shōwa emperor. A second story was added to the wooden building in 1908 in advance of a planned visit by the future Taishō emperor. It was opened as an art museum from 1947, and a modern annex was added in 1968. Homma (本間) is a Japanese clan. Honma Yoshihisa was appointed ''shugodai'' of Sado in 1185. The clan established its rule from Sawata. The clan gave birth to two new branches, the Hamochi-Honma and the Kawarada-Honma. Those two branches eventually prevailed over the head clan and opposed each other. Uesugi Kenshin, ruler of the Echigo Province at the time, settled the ongoing conflicts between Hamochi-Honma and Kawarada-Honma. His death sparked a new rows of hostilities between the two branches, but Uesugi Kagekatsu was a Japanese samurai ''daimyō'' during the Sengoku and Edo periods. is an ice hockey goaltender who represented Japan at the 1936 Winter Olympics, held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, Germany. Biography Honma was 25 years old at the time he represented Japan, as a member of the Manchurian Medical University ice hockey team. Honma was born in Sakata, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan. He attended medical school in Manchuria, which had been occupied by Japan since 1931, at Manchurian Medical Science University in Mukhden. During the Olympics, Honma was one of the first goaltenders to have worn a goaltender mask. (born May 19, 1968) is a Japanese former mixed martial artist who competed in the light heavyweight division. He has fought for Shooto, K-1, Pride Fighting Championships and the UFC. Career Honma had his first mixed martial arts fight on May 12, 1990, competing for the ''Shooto'' organisation in Japan. Honma compiled a record 3-3-2 in Shooto, including a victory over Manabu Yamada. He lost to Rene Rooze in his K-1 debut in 1995. On October 11, 1998, Honma made his Pride FC debut at Pride 4.
