The Hong Kong Challenge (officially known as the Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Challenge) is a one-day professional cycling race held annually in Hong Kong since 2017. It is part of UCI Asia Tour in category 1.1. One-day Race
The classic cycle races are the most prestigious one-day professional road cycling races in the international calendar. Some of these events date back to the 19th century. They are normally held at roughly the same time each year. The five most revered races are often described as the cycling monuments. For the 2005 to 2007 seasons, some classics formed part of the UCI ProTour run by the Union Cycliste Internationale. This event series also included various stage races including the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Vuelta a España, Paris–Nice, and the Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré. Matej Mohorič (born 19 October 1994) is a Slovenian professional road racing cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Mohorič turned professional in 2014. He is the Slovenian road race champion for 2018 and 2021. Biography Born on 19 October 1994, in Kranj, Slovenia, Mohorič currently resides in Podblica, Slovenia. Lukas Pöstlberger (born 10 January 1992) is an Austrian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He won the Austrian National Road Race Championships in 2012. Hammer Series
The Hammer Series is a series of cycling races organised by Velon in which teams compete against each other to determine the winning formation, instead of individual riders. The races are part of the UCI Asia Tour or UCI Europe Tour in category 2.1 or 1.1. The races consist of three days, with each posing a separate challenge, sprint, climb and Team Time Trial chase. Hong Kong Cyclothon
Hong Kong Cyclothon, sponsored by Sun Hung Kai Properties was held from 10 to 11 October 2015. It was the first time that the Hong Kong Tourism Board organised a mega event related to bicycles. Different competitions within the cyclothon were held to allow participants of different age groups to join. Also, a carnival associated with bicycles was set up. The cyclothon attracted over 3,600 participants, including 100 cyclists coming from 17 countries. The Hong Kong Tourism Board hopes to organise the ''Hong Kong Cyclothon'' again. 2017 Hong Kong Challenge
The 2017 Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Challenge was the inaugural edition of the Hong Kong Challenge one-day race. The race was held on October 8, and was rated as a 1.1 event on the 2017 UCI Asia Tour, UCI Asia Tour. The 2023 Hong Kong Cyclothon UCI 1.1 Road Race was the 2nd edition of the Hong Kong Challenge one-day race. The race was held on October 23, and was rated as a 1.1 event on the UCI Asia Tour.
