''Honeymoon Lane'' is a 1931 American pre-Code comedy film directed by William James Craft and starring Eddie Dowling, June Collyer, Raymond Hatton. The film was released on July 25, 1931, by Paramount Pictures. It is based on the 1926 Broadway musical of the same title by Dowling and James F. Hanley. Synopsis Card dealer Tim Dugan falls in love with Mary, the niece of owner of the casino where he works. Complications ensue when he is accused of allowing a female customer to win big and is fired from his job. William James Craft
William James Craft (1886 – 30 June 1931) was a Canadian film director and screenwriter. He directed more than 60 films between 1910 and 1931. Rachel Rice Dooley
Ray Dooley (born Rachel Rice Dool; died January 28, 1984) was a vaudeville performer in the [Ziegfeld Follies with others including W. C. Fields, Will Rogers and Fanny Brice. From there she moved to other musical stage performances. Biography Ray Dooley was born in Glasgow, Scotland as Rachel Rice Dool to Robert Rogers Dooley, an Irish-born circus clown. (The family name was later changed to Dooley.) Her brothers, Gordon Dooley, Gordon, Johnny, and Willie Dooley, were also performers. Ethel Wales (April 4, 1878 – February 15, 1952) was an American actress who appeared in more than 130 films during her 30-year career. Biography Born in 1878 in Passaic, New Jersey, Wales graduated from "Wisconsin university". George Kotsonaros
George Kotsonaros ( el, Γεώργιος Κωτσονάρος; October 16, 1892 in Nafplio, Greece – July 13, 1933 in Eutaw, Alabama) was a Greek-born professional wrestler and film actor. He acted mostly in silent pictures. His original name was Giorgios Demetrios Kotsonaros. He emigrated to the United States in July 1910. His swarthy, menacing face—and pugilist's rearranged nose—got him many roles as a tough guy or a prizefighter at a time when boxing movies were a flourishing subgenre due to the sport's huge popularity with the public. Most of Kotsonaros's films are today considered lost. Later, Kotsonaros began a career in professional wrestling. Lloyd Whitlock
Lloyd Whitlock (January 2, 1891 – January 8, 1966) was a prolific American actor who began working during Hollywood's silent era. Born in 1891, he appeared in nearly 200 films between 1916 and 1949. Distinguished by his height and stature, he became especially known for playing heavies in B-movie westerns. Biography Lloyd was born in Springfield, Missouri, to James Whitlock and Mary Wadlow. After appearing in dozens of silent films, Lloyd successfully made the transition to the talkies, appearing on-screen through the early 1940s. He married Mary Gibsone, a Canadian citizen, in Los Angeles in 1919. The pair had a daughter together. Lloyd died in 1966 in Los Angeles.
