Honda XRE300
The Honda XRE 300 is a single cylinder engine, single-cylinder dual-sport motorcycle designed and manufactured by Honda in Brazil. It was launched in August 2009 to simultaneously replace the Japanese firm's two South American on/off-road motorcycles: the Honda XR250R, XR250 Tornado and the Honda NX400 Falcon, NX4 Falcon. Unlike these motorcycles' 250 cc and 400 cc engines, the electronic fuel injection, fuel-injected (Programmed fuel injection) 300 cc engine in the XRE300 meets Brazil's new PROMOT 3 emissions rules. It has an anti-lock brake (ABS) option. Heavily based on its ''250cc'' predecessor, the XRE300 is aimed at urban riders but can be used for light trail work. Combined Braking System
A combined braking system (CBS), also called linked braking system (LBS), is a system for linking front and rear brakes on a motorcycle or scooter. In this system, the rider's action of depressing one of the brake levers applies both front and rear brakes. The amount of each brake applied may be determined by a proportional control valve. Programmed Fuel Injection, or PGMFI/PGM-FI, is the name given by Honda to a proprietary digital electronic fuel injection system for internal combustion engines with port injection. It is available since the early 1980s. This system has been implemented on motorcycles, automobiles, and outboard motors. Electronic Fuel Injection
Manifold injection is a mixture formation system for internal combustion engines with external mixture formation. It is commonly used in engines with spark ignition that use petrol as fuel, such as the Otto engine, and the Wankel engine. In a manifold-injected engine, the fuel is injected into the intake manifold, where it begins forming a combustible air-fuel mixture with the air. As soon as the intake valve opens, the piston starts sucking in the still forming mixture.
