Two-stroke
A two-stroke (or two-stroke cycle) engine is a type of internal combustion engine that completes a Thermodynamic power cycle, power cycle with two strokes (up and down movements) of the piston during one power cycle, this power cycle being completed in one revolution of the crankshaft. A four-stroke engine requires four strokes of the piston to complete a power cycle during two crankshaft revolutions. In a two-stroke engine, the end of the combustion stroke and the beginning of the compression stroke happen simultaneously, with the intake and exhaust (or Scavenging (automotive), scavenging) functions occurring at the same time. Honda NSR250
The Honda NSR250 and Honda RS250RW were race motorcycles manufactured by Honda Racing Corporation to race in the 250cc class of the Grand Prix motorcycle World Championship. Both names identified the factory specification bikes entrusted to works teams, while customer teams used the ''production racer'' Honda RS250R. The first bike debuted in as Honda RS250RW, then from to the factory bikes were named NSR250. In the RS250RW name was resurrected until the demise of the 250 cc class. Honda NSR500V
The Honda NSR500V is a race motorcycle from the Honda NSR series. It was designed and manufactured by HRC and debuted in 1996 for the Grand Prix motorcycle racing's 500 cc class. The bike was conceived by Honda to be a viable machine for privateer teams to enter the class. Characteristics The V-twin water-cooled two-stroke used the same crankcase reed-valve induction as the Honda NSR500 V4. The 100-degree V2 also used a single crankshaft, a feature common to all of Honda's GP race bikes of the time. Weighing in at 103 kg, it produced a claimed when running on hi-octane avgas. Although it made less power than its V4 counterpart (some 40-50 hp less), it was lighter, easier to ride and better handling. The Honda RC211V is a 990 cc (60 cu in) four-stroke race motorcycle from HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) developed in 2001 to replace the two-stroke Honda NSR500. Honda RS250R
The Honda RS250R was a race motorcycle manufactured by Honda to race in the 250cc class of the Grand Prix motorcycle World Championship. It was conceived as a ''production racer'' for customer teams and privateer riders, while factory-supported teams raced the works bikes RS250RW and NSR250. The RS250R debuted in 1984 as a development prototype, racing in the domestic All Japan Road Race Championship and entering some rounds in the World Championship. It was put on sale for customer teams for the season onwards. The Honda RS250R featured a V-twin 250 cc two-stroke engine with a V-angle of 90 degrees. A new 75 degrees V-twin was introduced in 1993. The A-AC10 Honda NSR50 is a motorcycle produced by Honda Motor Company. It was offered in a street legal format in several countries including Japan, France, Spain and more. It was also offered as an off-road use race bike variant in both Japan and the USA. The USA received it as a one-year only 2004 model designated as an NSR50R. In Japan it was offered in both 2004 and 2009 as the NSR Mini. The NSR50 was released on May 29, 1987. The Honda NSR125 is a ' sport bike produced between 1988 and 2001 by Honda. The bike is powered by a two-stroke, RC-valve equipped, single-cylinder engine with a redline at 11,000 rpm. Honda NSR150
The Honda NSR150 is a motorcycle produced in Thailand by Honda as Honda Honda NSR series, NSR and in Taiwan by Kymco under the name Kymco NSR. The early Taiwanese NSR150s were produced with engines imported from Japan. However, later models used engines cast in Taiwan by Kymco which resulted in engines of lower quality than the Japanese ones. Due to local regulations, Kymco NSR150 had lower power than the ones made in Thailand because the carburetor was smaller and the ports in the cylinder (engine), cylinder had slightly different sizes. It is common to switch to a Thai-made cylinder in NSR racing in Taiwan.
