Homie (band)
Homie was an American rock supergroup, which was the side project of Rivers Cuomo, lead singer of the band Weezer. Homie, as it stands now, was a one-time effort, and were only active for a year. Homie has officially released just one song, "American Girls", for the soundtrack of the 1998 film ''Meet the Deedles''. For this recording, Cuomo was joined by Greg Brown (member of Cake and Deathray), Matt Sharp (formerly of Weezer, lead singer of The Rentals), Adam Orth of Shufflepuck and Yuval Gabay of Soul Coughing and Sulfur.Luerssen D., John. Homies () is a South Korean hip hop group composed of Chin, CK, and Louie. They first garnered attention when they appeared on the YouTube hip hop audition program ''Superbee's Rap Academy'' in 2019. They signed to Yng & Rich Records in 2020 where they released the studio album ''Generation'' (2021) and extended plays ''Ghetto Superstars'' (2020) and ''Family Business'' (2021). They won 1 Gaon Chart Music Awards, 1 Melon Music Awards, and 2 Korean Hip-hop Awards. Homies (toy)
Homies are a series of two-inch plastic collectible figurines representing various Chicano Mexican American characters. The line of toys was created by David Gonzales and based on a comic strip that Gonzales created featuring a cast of characters from his youth. Introduced in the year 1998, Homies were initially sold in grocery store vending machines and have become a highly collectible item, and have spawned many imitation toys. Background and history Gonzales began drawing comics while he was in high school.
