Gaudencio Sillona III (born February 1, 1981), known professionally as Jay R, is a Filipino-AmericanRicky Lo (April 11, 2004)Jay R: The Heart of The Hunk, '' The Philippine Star'' singer, songwriter, record producer, actor and model. In 2003, he released his debut album, ''Gameface'', under Universal Records. The album was certified platinum by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI), receiving numerous awards and earning him the number one single, "Bakit Pa Ba". Jay R was dubbed as "R&B Prince" in his early career and was often partnered with Kyla (then known as the "R&B Princess"). Christmas Away From Home
''Christmas Away from Home'' is the first Christmas album (third overall) by Filipino singer Jay R, released on November 28, 2006, by his own label, JAYRS Music (later renamed as Homeworkz Records). It was distributed by Universal Records. It is an eleven-track Christmas collection containing six classic Christmas songs, two originals and three instrumental versions of three songs in the album. His sister, Jhing, was featured in one song, entitled "Spread the Love". The album was re-released in 2008, retitled as ''Holiday of Love''. It includes six other traditional Christmas songs as addition, like " O Holy Night" and " Give Love on Christmas Day", replacing the three instrumentals. All its album sales and proceeds were entirely donated to GMA-7's Kapuso Foundation. He stresses the album's title, saying "It's Christmas after all. Q-York is a Filipino American hip hop/R&B record production duo composed of Flava Matikz ( DJ/producer) and Knowa Lazarus (songwriter/ MC). Hosted by Jay R, it premiered on April 26, 2010. The show concluded on July 2, 2010. Format The single guy needs to impress thirty single ladies through a series of videos or interviews about him. Each woman has a light which she can turn off if she is unimpressed by the single man. The man's aim is to convince as many women as possible to keep their lights on so that he can then pick, from the women remaining, the one that he wishes to take on a date. If no lights are left on, then the man must leave the show without a date. At the end of the game, the guy may choose a date from the women who leave their lights on.
