Homestay (film)
''Homestay'' is a 2018 Thailand, Thai drama film, drama thriller film, thriller fantasy film, fantasy film produced by Jor Kwang Films and distributed by GDH 559. Co-written and directed by Parkpoom Wongpoom, the film is based on the Japanese novel ''Colorful'' by Eto Mori. It stars Teeradon Supapunpinyo as a spirit who gets to inhabit the body of Min, a teenager who recently committed suicide, and bring him back to life. The film was released in theatres on 25 October 2018. Plot The protagonist wakes up in a hospital morgue. Confused, he attempts to escape, but is confronted by several people who reveal themselves to be "the Guardian", and tell him that he is a spirit who has been given a second chance at life in the body of Min, a teenager who recently committed suicide. Parkpoom Wongpoom ( th, ภาคภูมิ วงศ์ภูมิ) (born 1978) is a Thai filmmaker and screenwriter. With Banjong Pisanthanakun, he co-directed and co-wrote the hit 2004 Thai horror film, '' Shutter'', and the 2007 horror film, '' Alone''. Biography Education and early career Parkpoom Wongpoom graduated from the Department of Film and Video, Faculty of Communication Arts at Rangsit University in 2000. His first short film, the 8-minute ''Luang Ta'' (''Old Monk''), was shown at many film festivals, including the Thai Short Film and Video Festival, the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, the Singapore International Film Festival and the Pusan International Short Film Festival. is a 2010 Japanese animated feature film directed by Keiichi Hara. It is based on the novel of the same name written by Eto Mori, produced by Sunrise and animated by the animation studio Ascension.
