Homescapes
''Homescapes'' is a casual free-to-play puzzle game. It was developed and launched by Playrix in 2017 as a successor to their 2016 match-3 game, ''Gardenscapes''. The storyline narrates about attempts of the game's protagonist, Austin the Butler, to restore his childhood home. The game is available on Apple's App Store for iOS and macOS, and also on Android via Google Play, Amazon Appstore, or Huawei AppGallery. It is also available for Windows on the Microsoft Store. Gameplay ''Homescapes'' follows the adventure of the main character Austin who returns to his childhood mansion and begins to restore it. He tries to convince his parents not to sell the house, sprucing up the place. Helping him, players receive tasks in the To-do list that they can tackle by solving match-3 puzzles. Playrix Holding Ltd., also known as Playrix Entertainment and Playrix Games, is a developer of free-to-play mobile games behind titles such as ''Township'', ''Fishdom'', ''Homescapes'', and ''Gardenscapes''. The company was founded in 2004 by Dmitry Bukhman and Igor Bukhman in Vologda, Russia, and moved its headquarters to Dublin, Ireland in 2013. Playrix was valued at $8 billion in 2021. ''Gardenscapes: New Acres'' is a casual match-3 game, released in 2016 for Android and iOS devices and also on Facebook. Gameplay The original version of ''Gardenscapes'', which was released for Microsoft Windows in October 2009, and was later released on OS X, iOS, Android, the Nintendo DS and 3DS, was a hidden objects game in which the player runs a B&B hotel. A sequel - ''Gardenscapes 2'', was released in April 2013. According to VentureBeat, a mobile version was in development for over four years and was released in 2016 as a combination of match-3 gameplay with a city-building core. The storyline is centered on a butler named Austin, who strives to rebuild the dilapidated mansion and garden. To complete the chores, the user must complete levels and earn the required "stars".
