Home Sweet Home Records
Home Sweet Home Records (also known as CC Entertainment) is a record label, based in Dallas, Texas. History Home Sweet Home began in 1981, in Nashville, Tennessee. It was founded by singer, songwriter and producer Chris Christian. Since its introduction into the music industry, the label has released over one hundred projects, including many that charted on the Christian charts. In the 1980s, Home Sweet Home held a prominent position in the contemporary Christian music market. Albums were released by artists such as Steve Archer, Dan Peek, Chris Christian, White Heart and others. In 1983, Home Sweet Home released what is believed to be the first ever contemporary Christian music video with Archer's ''Through His Eyes of Love''. Perhaps its most well-known artist would turn out to be Mark Heard, who released five albums with the label in the early 1980s. Mark Heard
John Mark Heard III (December 16, 1951 – August 16, 1992) was an American record producer, folk rock singer and songwriter from Macon, Georgia. Heard released sixteen albums, and produced or performed with many artists, including: Sam Phillips (aka Leslie Phillips), Pierce Pettis, Phil Keaggy, Vigilantes of Love, Peter Buck of R.E.M. (who co-produced VOL's album ''Killing Floor'' with Heard), The Choir, Randy Stonehill and Michael Been of The Call. Heard produced part of Olivia Newton-John's ''The Rumour'' (1988), which also included a cover of Heard's own "Big and Strong" (originally called "How to Grow Up Big and Strong"). Louis Charles "B.W." Stevenson (October 5, 1949 – April 28, 1988) was an American country pop singer and musician, working in a genre now called progressive country. "B.W." stood for "Buckwheat". Stevenson was born in Dallas, Texas, United States, and attended W.H. Adamson High School with other musicians Michael Martin Murphey, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and Larry Groce. Stevenson performed and was taped for the intended pilot of ''Austin City Limits'' on October 13, 1974. However, the recording quality was deemed too poor to broadcast. Reba Rambo (born October 17, 1951) is an American Christian singer and songwriter. She is a Grammy and Dove Award winner. Mike Eldred (born June 12, 1965) is an American tenor, known for his work in musical theater. He has performed on Broadway and in regional productions.
