Lucas Belvaux (born 14 November 1961) is a Belgian actor and film director. His directing credits include the ''Trilogie'', consisting of three films with interlocking stories and characters, each of which was filmed in a different genre. The three films are ''Cavale'', a thriller; ''Un couple épatant'', a comedy; and ''Après la vie'', a melodrama. The ''Trilogie'' received the André Cavens Award. His film '' La Raison du plus faible'' was entered into the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. His film ''One Night (38 témoins)'' was nominated for seven Magritte Awards, winning Best Screenplay. Biography After studying visual arts at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Laurent Mauvignier decided to become a writer in the 1990s following the advice of Tanguy Viel, a friend and novelist. 2020 Cannes Film Festival
The 73rd annual Cannes Film Festival was scheduled to take place from 12 to 23 May 2020. On 13 January 2020, Spike Lee was named as the president of the Jury. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in France, festival management announced on 14 April 2020 that the festival could not be held in its "original form", with alternative means of observing the festival being explored. It was cancelled for the first time since 1968. Earlier, festival management considered holding the festival in June or July, after not cancelling the event. In mid-March, the festival's main venue, the Grand Auditorium '' Louis Lumière'', was converted into a temporary homeless shelter. In May 2020, it was announced that no physical edition of the festival would take place, but a revised Official Selection of films was confirmed on 3 June 2020. Catherine Frot (; born 1 May 1956) is a French actress. A 10-time César Award nominee, she won the awards for Best Actress for '' Marguerite'' (2015) and Best Supporting Actress for ''Family Resemblances'' (1996).
