Tomáš Holý
Tomáš Holý (; born 10 December 1991) is a Czech professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Carlisle United. Holý started his professional career at Sparta Prague, having previously being part of the Hradec Králové youth system. He featured for Sparta Prague's reserve team Sparta Prague B during the 2010–11 and 2011–12 seasons. During his time with Sparta Prague, he spent time out on loan at Vlašim, Viktoria Žižkov and Fastav Zlín. In January 2016, Holý moved to English football to join Gillingham. He spent two-and-a-half seasons at Gillingham, making over 100 appearances before joining Ipswich Town on a free transfer in June 2019. He was the club's first-choice goalkeeper for most of his first two seasons at the club, but was dropped for the 2021–22 campaign and instead spent time on loan at Cambridge United and Port Vale. Antonín Holý
Antonín Holý (1 September 1936 – 16 July 2012) was a pioneering Czech scientist. He specialised in the field of chemistry and cooperated on the development of important antiretroviral drugs used in the treatment of HIV and hepatitis B. He was involved in the creation of the most effective drug (as of early 2009) in the treatment of AIDS. Antonín Holý is the author of more than 450 papers, 400 scientific discoveries and holds 60 patents. With more than 400 discoveries to his credit, his work has affected millions of people with viral diseases such as HIV/AIDS and hepatitis B and many other viral diseases. In 2008 he received an Honorary Professorship at the University of Manchester's School of Chemistry. Ladislav Holý
Ladislav Holý (1933–1997) was a Czech anthropologist and Africanist of the British school of social anthropology. He combined interpretative approach with methodological individualism, most notably in the '' Actions, Norms and Representations'', co-written with Milan Stuchlik. Early life Holý studied anthropology and archaeology at the Charles' University in Prague, Czechoslovakia. There he met his future wife and research partner, Alice Sučíková, who accompanied him on many of his fieldwork trips in Africa. Karel Holý
Karel Holý (born 3 February 1956) is a Czech former professional ice hockey forward. Holý played the majority of his career with HC Sparta Praha, from 1974 to 1978 and again from 1980 to 1986. Prokop the Great ( cs, Prokop Veliký, la, Procopius Magnus) or Prokop the Bald or the Shaven ( cz, Prokop Holý, link=no, ) (c. 1380 – 30 May 1434) was a Czech Hussite general and a prominent Taborite military leader during the Hussite Wars. On his mother's side, he came from a German patrician family living in Prague. Initially, Prokop was a member of the Utraquists (the moderate wing of the Hussites) and was a married priest (having received the tonsure early in life) who belonged to an eminent, partly German-speaking family from Prague. Jindra Holá
Jindra Holá (born 2 October 1960) is a Czech former ice dancer who represented Czechoslovakia. Competing with Karol Foltán, she became the 1983 Prague Skate champion, a three-time Winter Universiade medalist (silver in 1983 and 1985, bronze in 1981), and a three-time Czechoslovak national champion. The two also competed at the 1984 Winter Olympics. Career Early in her ice dancing career, Holá competed in partnership with Jiří Pokorný. The duo won the silver medal at the Czechoslovak Championships in the 1977–1978 season. The following season, Holá teamed up with Karol Foltán. Mirela Holy
Mirela Holy (born 15 December 1971) is a Croatian politician and a former leader of the centre-left Croatian Sustainable Development party (ORaH). She served as Croatia's Minister of Environment from 2011 until 2012, the first and to date only woman to hold this position.
