Holoship
"Holoship" is the first episode of Series V of the science fiction sitcom ''Red Dwarf'' and the twenty-fifth in the series run. It was first broadcast on the British television channel BBC2 on 20 February 1992 in the 9:00 PM evening time slot. It was written by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, and directed by Juliet May. Plot While travelling aboard a ''Starbug'', Dave Lister, Cat, Kryten, Arnold Rimmer and Holly finish watching a movie. While Lister is left in tears and Kryten praises the film, Rimmer shows disgust over the romantic elements of its plot, claiming no man would abandon their dreams for a woman they love, especially one they will never see again. Holly interrupts the discussion by alerting the group to the presence of another craft. Arnold Rimmer
Arnold Judas Rimmer is a fictional character in the science fiction sitcom ''Red Dwarf'', played by Chris Barrie. Rimmer is characterised as a second-class technician (and de facto leader) of the mining ship Red Dwarf. Portrayed as snobbish, pedantic, and self-centred, Rimmer is unpopular with his crewmates and is often the target of insults and general ridicule. After he is killed by a radiation leak during an ellipsis (narrative device), ellipsis in the series' first episode "The End (Red Dwarf), The End" (1988) Rimmer is present for most of the series as a computer-generated Holography, hologram, indicated by the 'H' symbol on his forehead. "The Inquisitor" is the second episode of science fiction sitcom '' Red Dwarf'' Series V and the twenty sixth in the series run. It was first broadcast on the British television channel BBC2 on 27 February 1992. It was written by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, and directed by Juliet May and Grant Naylor. The episode's plot deals with a time travelling simulant who visits ''Red Dwarf'' to assess if they are worthy of their existence. Plot Arnold Rimmer, Dave Lister, Kryten and Cat find a trip out on a ''Starbug'' cut short when they are returned to ''Red Dwarf''. The group discover it to be the work of The Inquisitor – a self-repairing simulant who survived until the end of time, concluded that, as there was no God, the only point of existence was to lead a worthwhile life and is now time-travelling throughout history to judge all, removing from existence all he has judged unworthy of existence and replacing with others who could have been conceived in their places. Cat (Red Dwarf)
Cat is a fictional character in the British science fiction sitcom ''Red Dwarf''. He is played by Danny John-Jules. He is a descendant of Dave Lister's pregnant pet house cat Frankenstein, whose descendants evolved into a humanoid form over three million years while Lister was in stasis (suspended animation). As a character he is vain and aloof, and loves to dress in extravagant clothing. He is simply referred to as "Cat" in lieu of a real name. Simon Paisley Day (born 13 April 1967), also credited as Simon Day, is an English stage and screen actor. ''Red Dwarf'' is a British science fiction comedy franchise created by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, which primarily consists of a television sitcom that aired on BBC Two between 1988 and 1999, and on Dave since 2009, gaining a cult following.
