Holly Cook
Holly Faye Cook-Tanner is an American former competitive figure skater. She is the 1990 World and 1990 U.S. national bronze medalist. She was coached by Kris Sherard. Cook is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is a graduate of Viewmont High School in Bountiful, Utah, class of 1989. She is a mother of four and toured with Champions on Ice. She now coaches at the South Davis Recreation Center in Bountiful, Utah Bountiful is Davis city. The NHK Trophy is an international, senior-level figure skating competition held as part of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. The ''New Era'' was an official magazine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 1971 to 2020. First published in January 1971 along with the ''Ensign'' and the ''Friend'', the ''New Eras intended audience was the church's youth. The magazine replaced the similarly themed ''The Improvement Era'', a periodical published from 1897 to 1970. The Skate Canada International is an international, senior-level invitation-only figure skating competition organized by Skate Canada. It is the second competition of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating season. The location changes yearly. Medals are awarded in four disciplines: men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The first Skate Canada International was held in 1973. The 1987 competition in Calgary was the test event for the 1988 Winter Olympic Games. It was added to the Grand Prix series in 1995, the year the series began.
