Holliston is a New England town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States in the Greater Boston area. The population was 14,996 at the 2020 census. It is located in MetroWest, a Massachusetts region that is west of Boston. Holliston is the only town in Middlesex County that borders both Norfolk and Worcester counties. History At the time of the earliest European settlements, where Holliston exists now was part of the territory of the Awassamog family of Natick (the first Nipmuc Praying town, Praying Town), who also held authority over land near Waushakum Pond at Framingham and land near Annamasset at Mendon. In 1701, a large tract of land that included the west half of Holliston, eastern Milford and parts of Hopkinton and Ashland was given to the local Nipmucs in a land exchange with Sherborn. Holliston is a primarily residential neighbourhood located in the southeast part of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It includes part of the 8th Street East (Saskatoon), 8th Street business district. Just over half of its dwellings are single detached houses, with a sizeable minority of duplex or apartment-style multiple unit dwellings. As of 2007, the area is home to 3,412 residents. The neighbourhood is considered a middle-income area, with an average family income of $51,674, and a home ownership rate of 62.8%. History The land where Holliston now exists was annexed in the period between 1911 and 1919. On a 1913 map of registered subdivisions, the land was divided into several parcels, with names such as Nutana Hill, University Homes, Nutana Park and University Park. ''Holliston'' is an American horror sitcom created by Adam Green, which debuted on April 3, 2012 on the FEARnet cable television network as their first ever original series. Holliston High School is the public secondary school serving Holliston, Massachusetts, United States. As of 2018, the school enrolled 809 students. The current principal is David List. MCAS, ACT, and SAT scores of Holliston High School students are consistently well above both state and national averages. History The first class to graduate from HHS consisted of 9 students in 1868. Their mascot was the Mt. Hollis hogs. The first high school was the Walker high school, built on the site of the Mt. Hollis Seminary (The Cutler School was later built on its charred remains). To accommodate the growing population a new school was built in 1957 near the Flagg Middle School, now known as Adams Middle School.
