She is a member of the Seattle City Council from the 3rd district, having been elected in 2023. Mellisa Hollingsworth (born October 4, 1980) is a retired Canadian athlete who competed from 1995 to 2014. She won the bronze medal in the women's skeleton event at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Hollingsworth also won a silver in the women's skeleton event at the 2000 FIBT World Championships in Igls, Austria.
