Adolf Holl (13 May 1930 – 23 January 2020) was an Austrian Catholic writer and theologian. He lived in Vienna, where he was Chaplain of the University of Vienna and a lecturer in its Department of Catholic Theology Theology is the systematic study of the nature of the divine and, more broadly, of religious belief. Justin Holl
Justin Gunnar Holl (born January 30, 1992) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was originally drafted in the second round, 54th overall, by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. In 2018, Holl became the first defenseman in Maple Leaf history to record two goals in his first two NHL games. In the same year, he helped the American Hockey League (AHL)'s Toronto Marlies win their first Calder Cup. Playing career Early career Holl attended Minnetonka High School from 2007 to 2010. William Holl The Elder
William Holl the Elder (1771 – 1 December 1838) was a British engraver, thought to be of German background, and a political radical. Life Holl was a pupil of Benjamin Smith (engraver), Benjamin Smith the engraver, and worked in the stipple engraving, stipple method. He was noted as an exponent of "chalk manner" engraving, based on the simulation of chalk lines on paper. While with Smith, he had Thomas Uwins as unwilling pupil. A progressive in politics, Holl at the time of the Spa Fields riots in December 1816 took the risk of concealing James Watson, son of James Watson (1766–1838) the radical leader, and aiding his departure for the USA. Werner Holl (born 28 January 1970) is a retired German pole vaulter. He finished sixth at the 1993 World Indoor Championships and won the bronze medal at the 1997 Summer Universiade. He no-heighted at the 1992 European Indoor Championships, and competed at the 1993 World Championships without reaching the final. Ursula Ulrike Holl (born 26 June 1982) is a retired German footballer. She currently works as the goalkeeping coach for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. Career Club Holl started her career at TSV Uengershausen, before joining FSV Frankfurt, where she made her Bundesliga debut. She moved to local rivals 1. Karl Holl (15 May 1866 – 23 May 1926) was a professor of theology and church history at Tübingen and Berlin and is considered one of the most influential church historians of his era. Life Karl Holl studied philosophy and theology at the Tübinger Stift. He became a member of the Studentenverbindung (student association) Normannia. While serving as a minister in Württemberg, he completed his doctorate and became the lead tutor (''Repetent'') at the Tübinger Stift in 1891. John Holl
John Myrie Holl (16 August 1802 – 6 April 1869) was a Prince Edward Island politician. He was born in England and likely immigrated to island in 1836 acquiring several hundred acres of property which he named "Kenwith" after his family's estate in Devon, England. Holl was appointed to the legislative council in 1840 by governor Charles Augustus FitzRoy. Responsible government came to the island in 1851. In 1853 the Liberal government of the colony's first premier, George Coles, was defeated in the general election and was forced to resign in early 1854 when it could not command the support of the House of Assembly which now had a Conservative majority. Diane Holl (born 6 May 1964) is a British engineer who has worked in Formula One, Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART), and NASCAR. She is employed at the Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR team as director of vehicle engineering.
