"Hold My Tongue" is the debut single of Australian band Sheppard released on 23 August 2013. It was a three-track download, consisting of two songs taken from the '' Sheppard'' EP (one in a remixed form) and one new track. George Sheppard said "This is the track that's the most fun to play live. It's the one our fans love dancing to most at our shows. We asked Australia to sing along with us on " Let Me Down Easy", and now it's time to invite everyone up to shake it a little!" Sheppard (band)
Sheppard are an Australian indie pop band, formed in 2009. Their debut studio album, '' Bombs Away'', was released on 11 July 2014, and peaked at No. 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association, while their second single, "Geronimo", spent three weeks at No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart and was certified 5× platinum. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2013, Sheppard were nominated for Best Independent Release for " Let Me Down Easy". At the 2014 ceremony, they were nominated for Album of the Year, Best Group, Best Independent Release, Best Pop Release, Song of the Year, Producer of the Year, and Best Video. Amy Sheppard is an Australian singer-songwriter and along with her siblings George and Emma, is a forming member of indie pop band Sheppard. She released her debut extended play, ''Nothing But Wild'' in September 2022. "Geronimo" is the second single released, in February 2014, by Australian indie pop band Sheppard. It was written by three of its members, Jason Bovino with the siblings, George and Amy Sheppard, and was produced by Stuart Stuart at Analog Heart Studios, Brisbane. It is the first number-one single ever recorded in Brisbane and reached number one on the Australian Singles Chart in April 2014. Having held the position for three weeks, the song became the longest stay at the top of the charts for an Australian artist or band since "Battle Scars" by Guy Sebastian in August 2012.
