Hokkaido Sapporo Minami High School (北海道札幌南高等学校, ''Hokkaidō Sapporo Minami Kōtō Gakkō'') is a high school in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaidō, Japan, founded in 1895. It is the top high school in Hokkaido. There are approximately 1,100 students that attend the school. The school is operated by the Hokkaido Prefectural Board of Education. In 1995, the school replaced its old school building with a new facility. Toyohira River
The is a river in Hokkaidō prefecture, Japan. It is 72.5 km in length and has drainage area of 894.7 km². It is a tributary of the Ishikari River. It supplies water to Sapporo city, the capital of Hokkaidō built on the alluvial fan formed by the river. Jōzankei is a popular attraction with onsen (hot springs) along the upper Toyohira. Junichi Watanabe (writer)
was a Japanese writer. Biography Jun'ichi Watanabe was born in Kamisunagawa, Hokkaido, Japan. His starting point as a literate was the death of a classmate who was his first love in high school. He published his first works while still studying at Sapporo Medical University, where he graduated in 1958. He specialised in orthopedic surgery, while at the same time writing medical, historical, and biographical novels. Following the scandal about the first heart transplant operation performed in Japan in 1968, which became known as the "Wada incident", Watanabe left his medical profession and concentrated on writing. Watanabe wrote more than 50 novels in total, and won awards including the 1970 Naoki Prize for ''Hikari to kage'' (lit. Genzō Wakayama
was a Japanese actor, voice actor and DJ. He moved to Sapporo, Hokkaido as a youth and graduated from Sapporo South High School. Due to his low bass voice, Wakayama often voiced villainous or calm characters. He is the official Japanese dub-over artist of actors Sean Connery, Gene Barry, Peter Graves, Raymond Burr, Hugh O'Brian and John Bromfield.
