Hoher Burgstall (Kalkkögel)
The Hoher Burgstall is a mountain, 2,611 m, in the Kalkkögel mountain chain in the Stubai Alps, southeast of the Schlicker Seespitze The Schlicker Seespitze, at , is the highest peak in the Kalkkögel range in Austria's Stubai Alps, as well as the southwestern cornerstone of the chain. From the north, a rocky gully leads to the top: from the Schlick a well signed path climbs to the Sennjoch saddle. Schlicker Seespitze
The Schlicker Seespitze, at , is the highest peak in the Kalkkögel range in Austria's Stubai Alps, as well as the southwestern cornerstone of the chain. This mountain, known for being extremely prone to landslides, is a good observation point. It is located near the village of Schlick. From Schlick, the mountain appears like a deeply clefted rock massif with a huge southern arête crowned by the rock pinnacles of the ''Schlicker Manndln''. From the other side it resembles a crumbling, gashed peak rising above its scree slopes. The isolated Seejoch tower soars prominently over the Seejöchl saddle. Ascents From Seejöchl (reached from the Adolf Pichler Hut or from Schlick) a well-marked grade I climb runs through boulder terrain up to the Seespitzscharte col between the Seespitze and Riepenwand, along the north arête and over it briefly to the summit. Oberbergtal
The Oberbergtal is the largest tributary valley of the Stubaital, branching north above Milders and curving south-west to the road-head at OberIss. 2 hours up the path is the Franz Senn Hut. Location The Oberbergtal joins the main valley from the left at Milders (1,026 m, Neustift im Stubaital). The head of the valley is formed by the glaciated Alpeiner Berge (Schrankogel 3,497 m, Ruderhofspitze 3,474 m, Östliche 3,416 m and Westliche Seespitze 3,355 m), which surround the Alpeiner Ferner and several side glaciers. Serles
Serles (2,718 m) is a mountain of the Stubai Alps in the Austrian state of Tyrol, Austria, between the Stubai Valley and Wipptal, near the Italian border. Its nickname is ''Altar von Tirol'', literally the ''Altar of Tyrol''. It has several lower peaks, including Sonnenstein () to the north. Located on the edge of long ridge traversing east from Habicht, it is a popular scrambling peak and can get very crowded in the summer. The summit provides excellent view of the Stubai Alps and Zillertal Alps. Stubaital
The Stubaital is an alpine valley in Tyrol, Austria. It is the central valley of the Stubai Alps. The river Ruetz flows through the valley. This 35-km long valley runs in northeastern direction from the main chain of the Alps to Schönberg im Stubaital, near Innsbruck. Below Fulpmes, the villages lie on terraces above the Ruetz on either side of the river. South of Neustift im Stubaital, the largest side valley Oberbergtal joins from the west. The ÖBB operates a 16- MW hydroelectric power plant in Fulpmes. The following five municipalities lie in the valley: Schönberg im Stubaital, Mieders, Telfes, Fulpmes and Neustift im Stubaital. Starkenburg is an historical region in the State of Hesse, Germany, comprising the area south of the Main River and east of the Rhine, around the regional capital Darmstadt.
