Hogun (Marvel Cinematic Universe)
Hogun the Grim is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is a charter member of the Warriors Three, a trio of Asgardian adventurers and supporting cast of ''Thor'' in the Marvel Universe. Tadanobu Asano portrayed the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films ''Thor'' (2011), '' Thor: The Dark World'' (2013), and '' Thor: Ragnarok'' (2017). Publication history Hogun first appeared in ''Journey into Mystery'' #119 (August 1965), and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The Warriors Three are a group of fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The characters served as supporting cast members in ''Thor (Marvel Comics), Thor''. The Warriors Three are the Asgard (comics), Asgardians Fandral, Hogun, and Volstagg. Though the characters are gods of Asgard (comics), Asgard, they are original creations of Marvel Comics and not based on characters from Norse mythology. The Warriors Three have appeared in various media adaptations of Thor, including the 2011 Marvel Cinematic Universe film ''Thor (film), Thor'', its 2013 sequel ''Thor: The Dark World'', and the 2017 sequel ''Thor: Ragnarok''. Journey Into Mystery
''Journey into Mystery'' is an American comic book series initially published by Atlas Comics (1950s), Atlas Comics, then by its successor, Marvel Comics. Initially a horror comics anthology, it changed to giant-monster and science fiction stories in the late 1950s. Beginning with issue #83 (cover dated Aug. 1962), it ran the superhero feature "Thor (Marvel Comics), The Mighty Thor", created by writers Stan Lee and Larry Lieber and artist Jack Kirby, and inspired by the mythological Norse mythology, Norse Thor, thunder god. The series, which was renamed for its superhero star with issue #126 (March 1966), has been revived three times: in the 1970s as a horror anthology, and in the 1990s and 2010s with characters from Marvel's Thor mythos. The title was also used in 2019 for a limited series as part of the "War of the Realms" storyline. Mephisto (comics)
Mephisto is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appears in ''The Silver Surfer'' #3 (December 1968), created by Stan Lee and John Buscema and based on Mephistopheles – a demon character from the Faust legend, who has sometimes been referred to as Mephisto.
