Hōdō
Hōdō (法道) or Hōdō Rishi, Sennin (法道仙人) was an Indian hermit and sage. According to legend, from the 6th to 7th centuries CE, Hōdō traveled from India through China and the Korean kingdom of Baekje and eventually arrived in Japan. He is recognized as the founder of temples in the mountains of Harima Province and is associated with several ''chokugan-ji'' (勅願寺), Buddhist temples built at the request of the reigning emperor. Tradition holds that when Hōdō came to Japan, he was accompanied by the deity Gozu Tennō (牛頭天王; Sanskrit: ''Gośīrṣa devarāja''), who was later enshrined at and Yasaka Shrine and is venerated in the Gion faith. It was after this encounter that Hōdō built Tamon-ji (Kōbe), Tamon-ji in Hyōgo Prefecture to enshrine the Kumoga Iwa Rock, Rokkō-Hime-D ...

Odo I, Margrave Of The Saxon Ostmark
Odo (or Hodo) I (also ''Huodo'' or ''Huoto'') (c. 930 – 13 March 993) was margrave in the Saxon Eastern March of the Holy Roman Empire from 965 until his death. Odo was, if the onomastics are correct, a son (or maybe a nephew) of Christian (d. 950), a Saxon count in the Nordthüringgau and Schwabengau of Eastphalia. Count Christian, probably a scion of the Billung dynasty, had married Hidda (d. 970), a sister of Gero, margrave of the vast ''marca Geronis'' in the lands settled by Polabian Slavs. From 945 he also ruled over the adjacent gau of Serimunt beyond the Saale river. In 965, Margrave Gero died and his great ''marca Geronis'' was divided into five smaller marches. Count Thietmar, a known son of Hidda, and Odo inherited large parts of his march: Odo received the so-called ''marca Orientalis'' or Eastern March, stretching from the Gau Serimunt in the west up to the remotest outposts on the Bóbr river in the east, while Thietmar appeared as margrave of southern Meissen af ...

The population took advantage of the visit of the United Nations mission, led by Charles T. O. King, Permanent Representative of Liberia to the United Nations, to express its frustration with the French colonial administration in Togo which was imposed on the country. Faced with the anger of the demonstrators, protesting against the arrest of the Togolese nationalist, Bouyo Moukpé, the colonial army fired on the crowd that frequented the Hoda market, killing 20 and injuring many. The mission had no other means than to deplore the incident linked to the political situation of the time, which it described as ″tense, bitter and deadly″. The separatists opposed the application of the framework law of June 23, 1956 known as the “Loi-cadre Defferre”. Togo was not a colony but a territory ...
