Hockinson High School
Hockinson High School is a school in Hockinson, Washington. There are just under 700 students. The official mascot is the Hawk, and the school colors are navy, cardinal blue, and silver. Built in 2003, it is a part of the Hockinson School District in Clark County, located in the southwest region of the state. It is the only high school in the district. The school is led by principal Tim Fox. Brush Prairie is a census-designated place (CDP) in Clark County, Washington, United States. The population was 2,652 at the 2010 census, up from 2,384 at the 2000 census. Based on per capita income, one of the more reliable measures of affluence, Brush Prairie ranks 57th of 522 areas in the state of Washington to be ranked. Geography Brush Prairie is located southwest of the center of Clark County at (45.728934, -122.542143). Selection is based on four criteria: scholarship (academic achievement), leadership, service, and character. As a student-led organization, Key Club's goal is to encourage leadership through serving others. FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is an international high school robotics competition. Each year, teams of high school students, coaches, and mentors work during a six-week period to build robots capable of competing in that year's game that weigh up to . Running Start is a dual credit enrollment program in Washington, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Montana and Illinois which allows high school juniors and seniors to attend college courses numbered 100 or above, while completing high school. It is similar to other dual enrollment programs common at public and private colleges and universities in other states like Concurrent Enrollment or Dual Enrollment.
