Field hockey was among the sports contested at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, held in Birmingham, England. This was the seventh staging of hockey at the Commonwealth Games since its debut in 1998, and the second staging within England specifically. The tournaments took place between 29 July and 8 August 2022. Schedule The competition schedule was as follows: Detailed fixtures were released on 9 March 2022. Venue The tournaments were held at the University of Birmingham Hockey and Squash Centre, where the squash competition also took place. Eddie Ockenden
Edward "Eddie" Clyve Ockenden (born 3 April 1987) is an Australian field hockey player. He plays in the midfielder and striker positions. He turned professional in 2008 and has played for teams in the Netherlands. He plays club hockey, having competed for a New Zealand team and Hobart, Tasmania side, North West Hobart Graduates (NWG). He also plays for the Tassie Tigers in the Australian Hockey League. He has represented Australia on the junior and senior level, earning a silver medal with the 2005 U21 team at the Junior World Cup. Joshua Beltz (born 24 April 1995) is an Australian field hockey player who plays as a defender for the Australia national team and the Tassie Tigers. Personal life Beltz grew up in Hobart, Tasmania. Joshua Beltz also has a younger brother, Hayden, who represents Australia's Under 21 side, the 'Burras'. Career Junior Beltz was first named in the 'Burras' squad in 2016. That year he played in the 2016 Junior Oceania Cup, a qualifier for the Junior World Cup. Thomas Joseph Wickham (born 26 May 1990) is an Australian field hockey player, who plays as a forward. Personal life Tom Wickham was born and raised in Morgan, South Australia. He played representative hockey for his home state South Australia until 2014, when he chose to represent Western Australia at a national level.
