Contract Killing
Contract killing is a form of murder or assassination in which one party hires another party to kill a targeted person or persons. It involves an illegal agreement which includes some form of payment, monetary or otherwise. Either party may be a person, group, or organization. Contract killing has been associated with organized crime, government conspiracies, dictatorships, and vendettas. For example, in the United States, the Jewish-American organized crime gang Murder, Inc. committed hundreds of murders on behalf of the National Crime Syndicate during the 1930s and '40s. Contract killing provides the hiring party with the advantage of not having to carry out the actual killing, making it more difficult for law enforcement to connect the hirer with the murder. A record chart, in the music industry, also called a music chart, is a ranking of Sound recording and reproduction, recorded music according to certain criteria during a given period. Many different criteria are used in worldwide charts, often in combination. These include record sales, the amount of radio airplay, the number of music download, downloads, and the amount of streaming media, streaming activity. Some charts are specific to a particular musical genre and most to a particular geographical location. The most common period covered by a chart is one week with the chart being printed or broadcast at the end of this time. Summary charts for years and decades are then calculated from their component weekly charts. ''Hit List'' is a 1989 action–thriller movie directed by William Lustig. The tagline for the movie was: ''"They attacked the wrong woman... They kidnapped the wrong child... And they made the wrong man their target."'' The film was produced by Cinetel Films and was distributed in US theaters by New Line Cinema and in Canadian theaters by Cineplex Odeon Films and on VHS format by RCA/Columbia Pictures Home Video, but has been out of print for some time. ''The Hit List'' is a 2011 American action thriller film directed by William Kaufman. The film stars Cuba Gooding Jr., with a supporting cast of Cole Hauser, Jonathan LaPaglia and Ginny Weirick. The film was released on direct-to-DVD in the United States on May 10, 2011. Plot Allan Campbell (Cole Hauser), a man who has had a very bad day, goes to a bar to drown his sorrows. ''The Hit List'' (aka Hit List or YTV's Hit List) was a music video television program that aired on YTV, a Canadian specialty television network aimed at children. The series first started in 1991, hosted by Tarzan Dan and had 14 seasons in all. The first 6 seasons of ''The Hit List'' were hosted by "Tarzan" Dan Freeman, while there were numerous hosts to follow from Aashna Patel, Leslie Bosacki and Exan Auyoung to Rob Fournier and Danielle McGimsie. As of fall 2005, ''The Hit List'' went on an indefinite hiatus. On the air, it was claimed it was due to the increase in more mature music videos that they are unable to show, naming I'm a Slave 4 U, Cry Me a River (Justin Timberlake song) and Dirrty as examples. It was broadcast on the Today Network from the studios of 2Day FM in Sydney, New South Wales to every state and the Australian Capital Territory following ''The Dirt''. It was cancelled on 10 December 2012, following the death of Jacintha Saldanha, and was replaced by '' The Bump''. "Dirty Deeds" was released as the first single, backed with the non-LP track "Let It Bleed", a cover of The Rolling Stones song. It peaked at No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Love Hurts" was released as the second single, backed with "Handyman" from Jett's 1983 album ''Album'', but it failed to chart in the US. ''The Hit List'' is the seventh album by the San Diego-based rock band Unwritten Law, released on January 2, 2007 by Abydos Records. It is a "best of" album that includes 3 songs from their 2005 album '' Here's to the Mourning'', new studio recordings of 14 songs from their earlier albums, and the new songs "Shoulda Known Better" and "Welcome to Oblivion." The earlier songs were all re-recorded by the current lineup of the band, and some differ significantly from the original recordings, reflecting changes in the band's lineup and musical style over the years. This was the last release by the band to feature drummer Tony Palermo, who left in March 2008 to join Papa Roach. ''The Hit List'', released with the subtitle ''The Best of 35 Years'', is a compilation album by English singer Cliff Richard. Released in October 1994, the album reached number 3 in the UK Albums Chart and was certified platinum in the UK. The album celebrates Richard's 35th anniversary in the music industry and compiled all of Richard's top 5 UK hit singles, which coincidentally totalled 35 at the time. Two bonus tracks were also chosen by Richard for the album – "Miss You Nights", at the request of fans for a re-release, and " Green Light" a favourite of Richard's. Partially in support of the album, the double A-side single "All I Have to Do Is Dream" / "Miss You Nights" was released in late November.
